I was thinking about making an effort to catch up on my blogging from the last, well, HALF of a year that I haven’t been blogging.  Hmm, now that I just realized how much blogging that will be, we’ll just have to see if I really want to put that much work into it!  Anyway, let’s start here with these two cuties, sister and brother.  It was precious to see how kind and loving she treated him.  tulsa photographers 1 tulsa photographers 2

Grayson and his mommy were home visiting family and decided it would be a great time to get some portraits done.  So we met one afternoon and got some great smiles and expressions from Greyson!  Just look at those bright blue eyes- what a beautiful child!  tulsa children's photographertulsa children's photographer 2tulsa children's photographer 3tulsa children's photographer 4tulsa children's photographer 5

Did you ever meet someone briefly and think to yourself  ”I like them!” and you can’t even put your finger on why?  Well, that’s exactly what it was like to meet Danny and Emily.  I only spent a short amount of time with them, so it’s not like I know their life history, all I can say is that I like them!  And I’m absolutely looking forward to their wedding day!  Which just happens to fall on my very own 12 year anniversary!

Okay so here’s a note from my personal life:  My bestest friend in the whole world, my “bestie”, my BFF, my…whatever you wanna call it…is moving away.   And we’re not talking about moving to Dallas or or Denver, both cities very “doable” for a few days.  Oh no, THAT would be too simple, too easy to comprehend.  Instead, they are moving to Farmington, New Mexico, not nearly as doable.   Luckily, this is my busy season, so I’ve barely had the time to process this personal tragedy.  So if you all can just keep me this busy for the next 6 months (which I’m thinking would give me the time to find a “new normal”), that would be perfect.

Holy.  Cow.   Scratch that, I meant “Holy French-Country/Shabby-Chic Cow!”  I don’t usually show this many pictures in a blog post, but there’s no way I could leave any of these out.  And I’m thinking during the off-season I’ll share some more of the amazing decor shots.  Christian designed ALL of the decor HERSELF!  I’m just blown away.   I’m SOOO glad that I was able to shoot this wedding with Jackey, it’s one that I won’t soon forget!

Okay, okay, I’m off track.  I should be talking about the couple and the wedding.  I assure you that Thomas & Christian are just as sweet as can be.  Thomas is very kind to his bride and that will certainly pay off in the years to come.  I wish this couple all the very best that life has to offer!

Motherhood is filled with so many bittersweet moments.  I love to see his smile, and I love that he can have a conversation with me about things like what ingredients are in pancakes, and of course I’m overwhelmed with pride when I hear him reading words (after all, he just turned 4!), and it’s so satisfying when I see him make a good decision all on his own…and yet…I miss the newborn moments that I was too tired to enjoy, I can barely remember his 6-month-old giggle, and oh how I long for the days when he didn’t challenge me!  Like I said, it’s all bittersweet.  Anyway, my little boy turned 4 over the winter and we finally got around to his pictures this past week.
